Gabe Key
Gabe Key leads partnerships and runs operations and technology at Mobility Concepts, the Raleigh event mobility rental company.
He built the gate system our crew uses at fairs. It grew into Hitchpost, rental software from Firmkit, the company Gabe founded. Hitchpost ran our gates at the 2026 NC State Fair and Raleigh Wide Open.
At Mobility Concepts he handles the website, online reservations, the lead pipeline and the systems behind each event day. He is also a photographer.
What Gabe does at Mobility Concepts
Partnerships
Fair boards, festival teams and venues talk to Gabe first. He plans where the tents go, how many units each gate needs and how the day runs. Every event is different, so terms are set per event. He gets back to organizers within 24 hours.
Event operations
On event days the business runs 130 scooters and a crew of 30 trained staff. Gabe sets up the systems behind them: gate check-in, deposits, returns and the end-of-night count.
The gate system
The gate system started as a tool for our own crew at the NC State Fair. It grew into Hitchpost, made by Firmkit, the software company Gabe founded. Mobility Concepts uses it at its gates. It ran our gates at the 2026 NC State Fair and Raleigh Wide Open.
